We all know the old adage “You don’t know, what you don’t know.” Well, prior to recruiting Ten22Fifty’s Dagan V. to act as an outside instructor for a reconnaissance sniper basic school, that is exactly where we were. I retired as the Program Officer for ATF’s Special Response Team’s reconnaissance sniper program and had the good fortune to contract Dagan as an instructor for the duration of the last basic school I was involved in prior to retirement. The level of expertise and teaching acumen he brought to that course not only caused impromptu changes in the curriculum of that course, our instructors were as much the student as our new snipers. The impact Dagan had on our program has resonated beyond that initial school and is present throughout the continuing successful efforts of the current program.
